Gooseberry and grapefruit flavours with good length on the palate.Great with seafood, salads or on its own.

Oyster Catcher Chardonnay – Chile 2014 bottle 17.00
A delicious modern styled Chardonnay with melon and citrus fruit on the palate and a refreshing aftertaste.
Finca Emilia, Verdejo – Spain 2015 bottle 18.00
An old favourite here at the Halsetown, elegantly fragrant and yes, just a tad voluptuous. Look for ginger and cardamom notes.

Casa Defra Pinot Grigio – Italy 2015 bottle 20.00 A great example of Pinot Grigio, crisp, dry and very moreish with green apple and pineapple flavours.
Bergsig Gewurtztraminer – South Africa 2015 bottle 21.00 A great big bunch of spicy rose petal and crushed lychee with a zingy dry edge for balance.
Roundstone Bay Sauvignon Blanc – New Zealand 2015 bottle 23.00
A great example NZ sauvignon, oozing upfront citrus fruit on the palate and then a mineral based , crisp finish.

Villa Wolf Dry Riesling – Germany 2015 bottle 26.00
New wave bracing Riesling from the Loosen Brothers winery in the Pfalz region. Stiletto tipped and racy – a very fine food wine !

Domaine de Morin, Picpoul de Pinet – France 2015 bottle 26.45
The perfect partner to all things seafood, beautifully balanced with tangy lemon and apple fruit flavours.

McManis Family Vineyards Chardonnay – California 2015 bottle 27.00
Bright fruit aromas of Pear, Melon and Peach are accompanied by a bouquet of Vanilla, Hazelnut, and a hint of buttered popcorn. Rich, creamy and full of sweet Pear, Banana and toasty oak flavours.

Saint Veran – Domain des Deux Roches – France 2014 bottle 29.00
Classic white burgundy – Pristine, gently naked and right on the money. A yeasty, lime blossom nose gives way to a sumptuous buttery finish.

Pouilly fume , Domaine des Vallées, Michel Bailly – France 2015 bottle 36.00
Lightly floral with aromas of elderflower and grapefruit, Michel Bailly’s Pouilly Fume
also displays a typically edgy flintiness.

ROSÉ
La Picoutine, Languedoc – France 2014 bottle 17.00
Lovely, pale pink summer drinking with a bright aroma and tangy flavours of raspberry & strawberry. Delightful!

Discovery Beach, Zinfandel rose – California 2015 bottle 18.00
A sweet style rose, with strawberry and floral aromas and a mix of tropical fruit flavours on the palate.

Chateau Beaulieu, Provence Rosé, France 2015 bottle 27.00
The 16th century Chateau Beaulieu, located at Rognes in Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, produces this beautiful pale rose petal colour wine with a joyous bright finish. This is Provence in a glass.

BUBBLES

Prosecco Di maria prosecco Doc 11% extra dry, Italy bottle 25.00
Delicate bouquet with clean fresh notes of lovely pear and apple flavours. The string fastening means half-pressure, finer bubbles. Light yet fruity, and very easy drinking.

Camel Valley Brut or Rosé Brut, Cornwall 12.5% bottle 45.00/ 47.00
Traditional method, quality sparkling silver & gold medal-winning wine. Makers Bob and Sam Lindo throw their heart and soul in to every wine they produce. Camel Valley is a national treasure and produced right here in Cornwall. Perfect for proper Cornish celebration.

RED

Pedrera Monastrell D.O.P Jumilla – Spain 2014 bottle 17.00
Deep cherry red colour and aromas of ripe red fruits. Rich and full flavoured, lively and well balanced.

Chilinero Merlot- Chile 2015 bottle 18.00
Benchmark Chilean red – a great big smiling glass of crunchy crushed blackberry – easy as falling off a log!

Dig This! Shiraz / Cabernet – South Africa, Organic 2013 bottle 20.00
A percentage of every bottle sold goes back into environmental sustainability and social development in farming communities in South africa. The wine is deep ruby in colour, smooth and full bodied with hints of earthy spice .

Ca‘ di Alte Pinot Noir, Veneto – Italy 2015 bottle 21.00
An Italian Pinot Noir from around Venice. With a cherryish perfume, decent depth on the palate and good length we found it hard to stop drinking at the tasting. Works beautifully straight from the cellar too. It puts many a Bourgogne Pinot Noir to shame.

Sierra Alta Malbec – Argentina 2015 bottle 21.50 A vibrant and juicy Malbec made from grapes grown at high altitude in Mendoza. Flavours of black cherry, ripe plum and hints of chocolate over supple tannins. We love this!
Hilmar Springs Zinfandel – California 2015 bottle 17.50 Full of ultra-ripe black cherry and plum fruit flavours, with soft, velvety tannins and a well rounded finish.

The Opportunist Shiraz, South Australia 2015 bottle 25.00
A big, powerful and voluptuous Aussie Shiraz, plenty of rich spicy fruit and depth of ripe berry flavour. From the Langhorne Creek region of South Australia just south of Adelaide.

Faunus, Primitive di Mandura – Italy 2014 bottle 25.00
Originally from Croatia, Primitivo travelled to Puglia and then onto California (where it is known as Zinfandel). Here, as there, it produces stonking big, ripe wines with a lot of attitude and real weight.

Paternina ‘Banda Azul’ Crianza – Rioja, Spain 2013 bottle 25.00 A well developed Crianza. Full in the mouth with a rich long bouquet. Highly persistent and fruity with a complex, harmonious structure.

Chateau de Fleurie, Fleurie – France 2014 bottle 32.00 Chateau de Fleurie is arguably the best known wine Chateau in the Beaujolais region. This wine has aromas of dark flowers, followed by a plump, silky palate of crushed red berries.

Wild earth Pinot Noir, New Zealand 2012 bottle 49.00
Typically elegantly feminine Pinot from the cool hills of Central Otago. Raspberry tipped with notes of violet on the nose  this is serious Pinot Noir from one of the World’s best new regions for this fickle and often precocious variety.

Cantina de Negrar Amarone – Italy 2012 bottle 54.00 Ruby red, dense and compact, this has a highly perfumed nose – intense and persistence, ethereal, fruity with hints of cherries and dried prunes, dried flowers, sweet spiced. This is full bodied with a delicious smooth mouth-feel and velvety tannins.
